HOW TO KNOW AND DO THE WILL OF GOD - Ibukun Williams

OW TO KNOW AND DO THE WILL OF GOD
As we come into a new year, maybe like me you want to do the will of God ,you want a better walk with God Which has been the root of the success of great men in the scriptures and even in contemporary times.
What is the will of God?
The will of God (ratson- in Hebrew) is the desire, delight and what is acceptable to God
and (thelma-in greek) is the purpose, determination, His choice(decree),His inclination (pleasure, desire).
The will of God is expressly spelt outside in the scripture, His word to us is His will- that is what He desires( and He is determined to do).
Each time you see" I will" from the mouth of God its what He is determined to do, it is also a certain promise.
Can God's will change?
When God's promise or intention becomes conditional, that is,in response to the action of another, then God's will becomes subject to the response of the other part involved. His will does not change ;but it's made to bear according to our meeting the conditions ,like when He said to Abraham in Genesis12:1-3
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: [2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
The"I will" of God in verse 2 is subject to Abraham's obedience of verse1
"Get out………"
So God's will does not change ,but when it's a promise, the other party(ies) determine the fulfilment of "i will" or like Apostle Paul said

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?-Romans 6:1-2
Shall we continue to do contrary to God's demands and still expect His will to be made manifest in our lives? paul says"God forbid!"
The will of God involves what is expected of His creature since he is our creator.
Genesis 1:27 KJV
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Just as a manufacturer has his expection of how his product is to perform. That is why we have manuals for products,it tells us the functions, care and what to do and what not to do with the product.
Thats exactly what the Bible is amongst other benefits, a manual that explains in explicit details what the creator has planned for his creation, and if adhered to,will ensure that we his creation will perform at maximum capacity.
Wow!You and I are not left without direction. The Bible is full of God's Will and no verse or part of God's Word contradicts itself.
Now you ask? How do i know God's will concerning everyday living? Who to marry? which house to live in?should i take that job or not ? what business should i do? Yes, maybe this are not spelt out expressly in the Bible but yet i can assure you that yes! you can still know the will of God in these issues.
There is the perfect will of God.What God wants exactly done, which will bring you into the ultimate plan of God and the permissive or allowed will of God- God has given man,His creation,the ability to choose,to make a choice. We are products of the choices we've made and will still make.God tells you the consequence of your choice and allows you to make your choice. Like He said to Adam and Eve;
"But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it, for the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die"
"The day thou eatest-" signifies choice,God says"the day you decide to do contrary, the day you take a choice to do otherwise, this is what will happen
Deuteronomy 30:11-19 KJV
For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. [12] It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? [13] Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? [14] But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. [15] See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; [16] In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. [17] But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; [18] I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. [19] I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
see:verse 19- " chose"-God may permit it but is His ultimate for you?
HOW TO KNOW THE WILL OF GOD FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
We can interpret it to mean how can i be guided right? God wants you guided in your everyday affair.
Isaiah 58:11 KJV
And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
It is His desire that none of His children be stranded-
Psalm 32:8 KJV
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
God does not guide everyone or let me put it in a more explicit manner, Not everyone is a candidate for God's guidance,so ;
How do I qualify for God's guidance (how can I know to do the right thing)?
1. It is for God's people.
for the godly, those who have made their allegiance to God-Ps 32:6-8
Psalm 32:6-8 KJV
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. [7] Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. [8] I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye
2. It's for the meek
Psalm 25:9 KJV
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
The humble or lowly, it takes humility to accept that you need help,to receive, you must be ready to take,it's an acknowledgement of "I dont have it, i submit to the fact that someone else has it,i surrender to take it".
My oldest son was having issues with a topic in mathematics,he desperately needed to know it as he was preparing for certificate examinations.
His younger brother- 2 years younger-, who has an understanding of the topic offered to teach him.
Pride rose up,ego felt bruised but he needed what his brother had.He grumbled, murmured, but eventually he submitted and his younger brother taught him, and in 10 minutes,my oldest son discovered the missing link and bravo!,he was on his way to success.
You need to acknowledge the help of God in having precise direction, you need to be humble enough to ask God for it
Proverbs 3:5-7 KJV says
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. [7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord , and depart from evil.
Dont be guided by what you think you know, ask God,He knows everything and be ready to do it.

WHO TORE THE VEIL?

WHO TORE THE VEIL? Matthew 27:50-51 KJV Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Jesus  being crucified was on the cross, the scriptures recorded that as He cried with a loud voice and gave up the ghost that the veil that separated the Holies where the priests performed sacrifices daily from the Holiest of All where the High Priest had access only once a year (Hebrews.9:7) to atone for his sins and for the sins of the people was torn in two from top to bottom. Now, let's look at this veil  - well,  it's not the kind of veil that brides wear on their wedding day or some kind of face covering mostly worn by women. This Veil translated as screen in Greek is a curtain - 4 inches thick,60ft high, about 30 -40ft wide. One piece of linen cloth woven with Blue, Purple and Scarlet,it is said that it would take at least 30...

TETELESTIA. - PAID IN FULL!

TETELESTIA. - PAID IN FULL! John 19:28,30 KJV After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. [30] When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. The Word, "Finished"(Tetelestai )comes from - teleo, which means “to bring to an end, to complete, to accomplish.” It’s a crucial word because it signifies the successful end to a particular course of action. It’s the word you would use when you make the final payment on a new acquisition. It means “I did exactly what I set out to do.” but in Jesus' case ,it meant " I have done exactly what the Father wants done". But there is more to the meaning of tetelestai. It means all of the above, but it especially applies to the price paid for the sins of the world. Goods only become completely ours when payment has been fully made. The phrase "it is finished" is loaded, a...

How to experience favour everywhere II

If you've read part 1 of this series, you probably thought - wow! Who wouldn't like this?. God's favour brings a refreshing Proverbs 16:15 KJV In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. Picture this scene. It's a really hot day during the dry season and it hasn't rained in about two weeks. You're standing out in the open, feeling like a human egg on a frying pan, then suddenly, right above you, the sky darkens, the cloud split open, and rain begins to pour right on you. if you can't imagine it, look at this;  Refreshing isn't it?. It was God's favour and wisdom upon Joseph that made Pharaoh install him as governor; Acts 7:10 KJV And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaouh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. It's possible to be ill-favoured but that's not God's plan for His worshipper...
