Delayed Answers to Prayers

Delayed Answers to Prayers
Its working for your Good

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ASV
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Do you Sometimes  wonder why its taking so long for your request to be granted or why your prayers are not getting answered?has God forgotten to be gracious?
You've checked and you are in right standing with God,so its not sin.is God afflicting me? No,God is a good God but He allows it for our good( all things work together for our good,we  that love God)
So why the delay?
Let's take a look at these 3 reasons amongst others.
1. 2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;
Its working for our good,to toughen& strengthen our faith muscles.

2. So that God can comfort us. Instead of getting angry with God.say "Lord,I receive your comfort, comfort me Spirit of God,and show me the way out of this affliction".You'll soon discover His love, embrace& direction right by you.

3. So that you can comfort others ( the word comfort means to lessen the pain or grief of another, giving hope& assurance of a better tomorrow). Now tell me,how can u comfort another if you have not pulled-through or you are pulling -through a similar situation?
Cheer- up! You are a role model!
Someone is going to pull- through a challenge,an oppression, maybe even an addiction just based on your testimony!
Instead of moping around,go look for someone to encourage, someone to tell "hey I'm going through same.you are not alone"

Remember.its working for us a more more eternal weight of glory!& guess what?
"And it (the affliction)shall come.... To ...pass. - Ibukun Williams

WHO TORE THE VEIL?

WHO TORE THE VEIL? Matthew 27:50-51 KJV Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Jesus  being crucified was on the cross, the scriptures recorded that as He cried with a loud voice and gave up the ghost that the veil that separated the Holies where the priests performed sacrifices daily from the Holiest of All where the High Priest had access only once a year (Hebrews.9:7) to atone for his sins and for the sins of the people was torn in two from top to bottom. Now, let's look at this veil  - well,  it's not the kind of veil that brides wear on their wedding day or some kind of face covering mostly worn by women. This Veil translated as screen in Greek is a curtain - 4 inches thick,60ft high, about 30 -40ft wide. One piece of linen cloth woven with Blue, Purple and Scarlet,it is said that it would take at least 30...

TETELESTIA. - PAID IN FULL!

TETELESTIA. - PAID IN FULL! John 19:28,30 KJV After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. [30] When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. The Word, "Finished"(Tetelestai )comes from - teleo, which means “to bring to an end, to complete, to accomplish.” It’s a crucial word because it signifies the successful end to a particular course of action. It’s the word you would use when you make the final payment on a new acquisition. It means “I did exactly what I set out to do.” but in Jesus' case ,it meant " I have done exactly what the Father wants done". But there is more to the meaning of tetelestai. It means all of the above, but it especially applies to the price paid for the sins of the world. Goods only become completely ours when payment has been fully made. The phrase "it is finished" is loaded, a...

How to experience favour everywhere II

If you've read part 1 of this series, you probably thought - wow! Who wouldn't like this?. God's favour brings a refreshing Proverbs 16:15 KJV In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. Picture this scene. It's a really hot day during the dry season and it hasn't rained in about two weeks. You're standing out in the open, feeling like a human egg on a frying pan, then suddenly, right above you, the sky darkens, the cloud split open, and rain begins to pour right on you. if you can't imagine it, look at this;  Refreshing isn't it?. It was God's favour and wisdom upon Joseph that made Pharaoh install him as governor; Acts 7:10 KJV And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaouh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. It's possible to be ill-favoured but that's not God's plan for His worshipper...
