HOW TO REMAIN STRONG IN THE MIDST OF CHALLENGES ( BOUYANCY)

How can you remain unshakeable and immoveable in the midst of struggles, difficulties and trials?
Trials are part of the journey of life.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. - John 16:33

'Shall', in the text, means they are bound to come, tribulation represents distressing, suffering, and trying experiences. The interesting thing is that trials work for our good, what you are going through is working for your good. Look at what the word of God says:
Peter 1:6-7 KJV
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:28 KJV
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

James 1:3-4 KJV
Knowing this , that the trying of your faith worketh patienceBut let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

So it works in us; depth, patience, tenacity, resilience- strengthening our spiritual muscles to make our faith stronger and it is such that you will overcome.
1 John 4:4 KJV
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 5:4 KJV
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
But how do I remain untiring, perseverant and standing through(not giving up)?
This morning, the Lord woke me up with the Word 'Buoyancy'. Why?, I wondered.
So I looked up the word Buoyancy, and here's what I found;
According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Buoyancy is; 'The ability of someone or something to continue to be happy, strong, etc through difficult times'
It's the ability to maintain a satisfactorily high state of mind in spite of trying and challenging situations . To be buoyant is to have the ability to recover quickly from depression  or discuoragement ; this is resilience . When the winds and waves come, its either people sink or swim, you're either standing strong or drowning.
So how do we develop the ability to float, or to rise, when situations come to submerge us, be it; joblessness, longstanding financial struggles, sickness, lingering family issues, loss of a dear one or possessions, loss of shelter or valuable which may be due to natural disaster, etc.
It is usually easier to sink, to go down with the situation, to be ' under the weather', but that cannot make you a conqueror, that will make one only a victim and not a victor, a loser instead of a winner. But you can choose to be a winner, you can choose to conquer, you can choose to  start again.
HOW?
1. Believe in God:- put your trust in God, in spite of what the situation is saying. Focus your thoughts on God's promise to help you overcome(He truly will).

1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
He will make a way of escape, you will not drown.

2. Read study and meditate on the Bible:- There is nothing that builds faith and assurance  like the word of God- when you place yourself in the word of God, you receive its power to exert an upward force(to lift us up).

Psalm 119:48-49 KJV
My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
Acts 20:32 KJV
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

When you feel discouraged or weary, the greatest antidote is the word of God - it has the ability to build us up, strengthen us, inspire us, giving us hope...

So what do you do with the Word for your lifting?
-  Read it, study it, erstwhile looking out for scriptures (bible passages that deal with what you are going through).
- Listen regularly to Bible readings and messages of proven servants of God.
- Memorise and meditate on God's word, especially those that have ministered to you.
- Believe God's word, Confess God's word, pray God's word, act in it, sing hymns(many are based on the word of God), etc

3. Count your blessings:- There are things God has done for you, prior to this point, and the reason things aren't worse than they already are, is because of God.
The fact that you are reading this article right now, is because you are still alive. Be thankful for life ( it means there is hope)
Romans 4:20 KJV
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

4.Refuse to believe anything contrary to God's word, refuse negative thoughts (they come to us all,but you can counter by refusing to dwell on it but instead dwell on and confess the Word of God.)

5. THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The strength, the buoyancy that you and I need to float and not sink is by the Spirit of God on our inside.

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;- Colossians 1: 11 KJV

He gives us the capacity in our very being not to chicken- out, even when we feel like giving up,He comes with His strength to toughen our reins.

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; - Ephesians 3:16 KJV
One of the operations of the Spirit of God is the Spirit of Might ( Isaiah 11: 2). Spiritual energy, the where- with-all,the tenancity to go-through without giving up,yet with joyfulness and excitement.
We cannot go through the storm in our capacity- in the energy of the flesh,No!. But the Spirit of God can supply the power needed to go through - strong and unperturbed.

Zechariah 4:6 KJV
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

Philippians 4:13 KJV
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

HOW TO RECEIVE THIS INNER STRENGTH

1. Invite the Holy Spirit into your life.
2.Ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you.
3. Spend time regularly  in fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit indwells and has expression in individuals who have surrendered their lives to Christ. They are born again.Have you given your life to Jesus Christ, accepting Him as your Saviour from sin& its consequences or you did but went back?
You can turn to Christ now& surrender your life to Him.(see prayer of salvation below)

I pray:
No unpleasant situation will drown you. You will rise, you will conquer this situation. Your faith muscle is being strengthened, God will show up for you and victory is yours in Jesus name ,Amen.

Be forever blessed- Pst Ibukun Williams

WHO TORE THE VEIL?

WHO TORE THE VEIL? Matthew 27:50-51 KJV Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Jesus  being crucified was on the cross, the scriptures recorded that as He cried with a loud voice and gave up the ghost that the veil that separated the Holies where the priests performed sacrifices daily from the Holiest of All where the High Priest had access only once a year (Hebrews.9:7) to atone for his sins and for the sins of the people was torn in two from top to bottom. Now, let's look at this veil  - well,  it's not the kind of veil that brides wear on their wedding day or some kind of face covering mostly worn by women. This Veil translated as screen in Greek is a curtain - 4 inches thick,60ft high, about 30 -40ft wide. One piece of linen cloth woven with Blue, Purple and Scarlet,it is said that it would take at least 30...

TETELESTIA. - PAID IN FULL!

TETELESTIA. - PAID IN FULL! John 19:28,30 KJV After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. [30] When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. The Word, "Finished"(Tetelestai )comes from - teleo, which means “to bring to an end, to complete, to accomplish.” It’s a crucial word because it signifies the successful end to a particular course of action. It’s the word you would use when you make the final payment on a new acquisition. It means “I did exactly what I set out to do.” but in Jesus' case ,it meant " I have done exactly what the Father wants done". But there is more to the meaning of tetelestai. It means all of the above, but it especially applies to the price paid for the sins of the world. Goods only become completely ours when payment has been fully made. The phrase "it is finished" is loaded, a...

How to experience favour everywhere II

If you've read part 1 of this series, you probably thought - wow! Who wouldn't like this?. God's favour brings a refreshing Proverbs 16:15 KJV In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. Picture this scene. It's a really hot day during the dry season and it hasn't rained in about two weeks. You're standing out in the open, feeling like a human egg on a frying pan, then suddenly, right above you, the sky darkens, the cloud split open, and rain begins to pour right on you. if you can't imagine it, look at this;  Refreshing isn't it?. It was God's favour and wisdom upon Joseph that made Pharaoh install him as governor; Acts 7:10 KJV And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaouh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. It's possible to be ill-favoured but that's not God's plan for His worshipper...
